Smart-light communication is a soft band of light on the unit that lets you know the unit is operating safely. the band of light will slowly pulse to let you know if the air flow is compromised, if there is a fan failure, or there it is time to change your filters.

How it Works
A ductless enclosure is a safety device used to protect laboratory workers when handling chemicals that pose an inhalation risk.
These enclosures are equipped with filtration technology that is specific to the type of chemicals handled. These filters capture toxic molecules and particles evaporated in the hood and make it possible to:
- Protect users in an effective manner
- Reduce the carbon footprint by not releasing any toxic emissions into the atmosphere
- Reduce operating costs due ot their very low energy consumption
- Eliminate all set-up costs related ot the installation of a ducted airflow system.
1 - Air intake through the openings
Air from the laboratory enters the hood through ergonomic openings. The air face velocity creates a dynamic barrier between the user and the chemicals being handled.
2 - Filtration of particles and molecules
The device ventilation system draws the particles and any molecules that have evaporated in the hood toward the filtration system. The level of containment provided by the hood prevents any pollutants from being released into the laboratory.
3 - Clean air into the laboratory
The filtration technology customized to the application traps the molecules that have evaporated within the enclosure. The discharged air is free from all pollutants.
4 - Purification of the ambient air
The continuous recirculation of the filtered air helps to purify the ambient air of the laboratory.
Flex Technology
The unique configurable design of the filtration column makes the CaptairFlex line of ductless fume hoods adaptable to the needs of most chemical applications. the ability to stack carbon and HEPA filters allows the filtration column to be configured specifically for the applications carried out within the hood.

New Sash Option - Reverso Sash
Designed with you in mind.
The rotation of the panel allows you to optimize the total work area to meet the requirements of your applications and processes. The Reverso sash allows access to the lower or middle section of the enclosure, which provides an ergonomic position for the user.
Containment is maintained in both positions to guarantee user safety.
Control Panel
Flow monitor
This device monitors the air flow and ensures the user that the fan is working properly.
Programmable Timer
This timer counts down the running hours of the unit and informs the user after every 60 hours of use to perform a saturation detection test of the molecular filter. (this feature is compliant with the AFNOR NF X 15-211: 2009 standard)
Internal lighting
18 Watts - 500 Lux - IP68, Compact fluorescent lighting. From 1 to 3 tubes needed, depending on the model.
Sampling port
It allows the user to take an air sample from the detection chamber in the filtration module in order to check the molecular filter saturation level, with the help of color coded tubes (not supplied).
Air Flow meter
It measures the air face velocity which must be between 0.4 and 0.6 m/s (this feature is compliant with the AFNOR NF X 15-211: 2009 standard)
Energy ports
Located on the enclosure side panels, they allow the passage of power cables/fluid pipes in the enclosure without discomfort for the user.
Chemical Listing: The list of approved chemicals for Erlab filters
Erlab provides a booklet containing an exhaustive list of chemicals, certified by an independent test laboratory, that can be handled in the ductless enclosure in the conditions described in the AFNOR NF X 15-211: 2009 standard.
The listing contains : the chemical name, the chemical formula, CAS number, boiling point, molecular weight, and saturation vapor pressure.
This booklet also indicates the best filter option for each chemical and its retention capacity, the type of filter saturation detction system needed, the maximum quantity of the chemical that can be introduced within the enclosure.
