Protein A Agarose Resins for Protein Purification from ABM, 25 ml Affinity chromatography is a method of separating biochemical mixtures based on highly specific biological interactions. The Protein A agarose beads are developed for purification of classes, subclasses and fragments of immunoglobulins, especially IgGs of different species. Protein A is a cell wall component isolated from Staphylococcus aureus that contains five antibody-binding domains with affinity for IgG, some IgA and IgM. This high affinity domain-Fc region of the immunoglobulins interaction makes one-step purification possible for proteins under native conditions. The immunoglobulins bind to Protein A, which are immobilized onto a solid support. Impurities are removed and the purified immunoglobulins can be eluted by decreasing the pH. Applications of Protein A Agarose Beads Purification of a wide range of immunoglobulins of different mammalian species. Purification of certain IgG subclasses that have no affinity Assays involving protein-protein interactions. Structural and functional investigation of antibodies. Special Features One-step easy purification protocol from crude lysate. Purification under native conditions. Can be used for successive cycles. Ready-to-use for any scale of purification. Protein binding capacity: approx. >25mg human IgG/ml gel. Resins and columns formats suitable for batch and gravity purification. Download Protocol
