A 36 µm soft non-permeable aluminum foil sealing film with 28 µm layer of strong medical-grade acrylic adhesive, AlumaSeal II^TM sealing films eliminate the need for heat-sealing devices or mats during thermal cycling. Each sealing film measures 82.6 x 146.1 mm. Compared to other aluminum foils, AlumaSeal II has less tendency to roll back on itself when removing the backing paper and conforms well to the plate during application. Sterile product is packaged in 100 µm tamper-evident bags of 25.

AlumaSeal 96^TM Sealing Films

A 38 µm thick aluminum foil sealing film with 38 µm layer of acrylic adhesive for use with 96-well plates. Fits inside the rim of raised-rim plates. AlumaSeal 96^TM sealing films have one partial-width end tab with no perforations. Pierceable. Available non-sterile only. Sealing film dimensions re 127.0 mm x 77.8 mm (including single 9.5 mm end tab).

** Completing application of AlumaSeal 96 sealing films by pressing with an accessory film-sealing paddle assures a secure uniform seal around all wells. The paddle fits within the rim of a raised-well plate.

AlumaSeal CS^TM Sealing Films

AlumaSeal CS^TM sealing films are specially formulated 50 µm aluminum foil sealing films with a 50 µm layer of acrylic adhesive that withstands cold storage at temperatures to -80° C. Unlike other sealing films in the AlumaSeal gropu, AlumaSeal CS sealing films are not recommended for PCR or thermocycling. A single non-perforated end tab simplifies application. Simply hold the tab and strip the backing from the body for the sealing film as it lays on the plate to avoid curling. Dimensions are 82.6 by 132.6 mm, including the single 9.5 mm end tab, recommended tempearture range: -80° C to +120° C. AlumaSeal CS sealing films are certified DNase-, RNase-, and nucleic-acid-free. Sterile product is packaged in tamperevident zippered bags of 25, two bags per box.
